Title: red 92, just did a katana rear shock swap and .85 sonic springs
Post by: georgedickels51 on May 18, 2007, 05:09:23 PM
i bought a 92 with about 7k original miles.  I rode for about a month before i got tired of the soft suspension.  Did the Kat shock about a week ago.  It raised up the back significantly and the firm ride was awesome, so i figured since i put that in i might as well do the front  :thumb:.  The rear was super easy, took about 30 min.  Front was pretty easy too considering id never taken forks down before.  I put 15w fork oil, which makes it pretty heavy.  Love the ride and thanks to everyone who posted, they all helped alot!  I just got in my 15t front sprocket so thats next on my agenda.  happy riding!   :icon_lol:

+1 on the help from the site and the suspension upgrades. I just was on an ON ramp with a big invisible dip in the apex of the turn- no way I would have made it with the stock suspension.
