Title: Kisan Pathblazer: Day 1
Post by: Flywheel on May 21, 2007, 03:10:16 PM
The installation was simple as promised (for once) and it works as advertised--there's no ignoring that pulsing headlight. Although the modulator is compliant with DOT standards, I would like to hear from other users. Any trouble with the traffic police? Is there an etiquette to using it? The frequency of flashing is a bit slower than I imagined it would be, and I don't like the thought that someone would purposely cut me off because it looks like I'm flicking the highbeams at them.

In WA, the laws for the headlight modulators go like this:  Can modulate from Low to High, can not change from off to high, Use is the same as high-beam...  Which means you can never friggen use 'em.

But......  I see people using 'em from time to time.  I've heard that cars will get out of your way 'cause they think you're a cop.  O0

Actually...  the Kisan modulator is legal in all states.  It is DOT compliant.  I don't feel like looking up the exact location, but it IS legal tho.

A state trooper here in Mass recommended me that I carry a copy of that regulation JUST IN CASE an officer pulled me over with the modulator (I didn't get it... I got the HID's instead).
