Title: moving right along with some upgrades
Post by: rangerbrown on May 23, 2007, 12:11:18 AM
lol yes yes yes O0 got some pirelli diablos 120/60-17 front (all ready installed) and awaiting install is the rear katana wheel with 160/60-17.

the rear wheel i had to install new bearing just now. had to freeze one bearing and heat the wheel to get one of them in, after that it just slipped in with a light tap of the hammer.

the entire brake system is going to have to be flushed and redone, both sets of bads or toast but the front rotor is still good with no run out yet  :o after using EBC HH pad for over 10k and many hot heat cycles.
i cant say enough about these pads easy to lock up the wheel if you don't watch it.

as for the rear i am not even sure why i am keeping it i never use it and it still wore away good pads. maybe the new rotor and katana wheel will solve that. but i still need to bend the arm there.

i want to tell every one that the 120 fit fine on the stock wheel, matter fact it hard to tell any real difference other than the # on the side wall.

i also wanted you all to know that a dunlop 208 (160/60-17) is much larger than the pirelli diablos so much so i don't think i wise to get one and try to fit it.

also i have noticed that i now have a small leak of oil on the gear shift so i will checking that soon as well could be due to the 2 hour 90 mph 8.5 k i was all on my way home form deals gap this past weekend,

i hope to have some pictures up by the wheel end when i get done and then off to scrub them in sweet

Yeah, I already kinda figured that out last year when I was at The Gap.
