Since Brian (Alphafire X5) has been visiting AJGS500 and I here in NY we took advantage of some of the nice weather and exposed him to Vermont today. It was a short but sweet little ride. My younger brother who has a 1981 gs450t came along on his first trip on the street with his bike. He did very well for being such a noob. No stalling, pandying or any of the such! Brian got to experience my 350 or more so the vibrations
We headed over to Bennington, Vermont and stopped at a local restaurant to eat dinner.

Back at my parents.
AJ enjoyed feeling as if she had her own gang. My bike is unfortunately still being painted so I had to ride Buddha Loves You...

Wow, what a bunch of dorks! :icon_mrgreen:

Fine, I think. She has a set of new ones for it sitting in the back seat, IIRC.

She didn't post the picture she got of me hanging off of it in a turn, thank goodness.
That backrest has a Lazyboy logo on it... :cookoo:
My girlfriend just said she wants me to put a backrest like that on the GS. :cookoo:
 The sad part is..it is ridiculously comfortable to be passenger on the 350...but riding it is another story..if your hands don't go numb, your feet will...
The backrest is an original vintage piece. I put lower bars on the 350 when I pulled it out of the barn, they were about even with the sissy bar. Needless to say, the 350 gets quite a few looks when we have it out. My plan last summer was to do a complete restoration on it over the winter, but obviously due to circumstances, my gs came first. The 350 will get an overhaul this winter instead. I'm thinking...powdercoated gold rims, as well as all the pitted chrome...then painting it a similar blue.
I jealous! Vermont is a pretty place!
Lissa,
IS that the GS that my old carbs went to?
Jake
Yes it is! Thanks again Jake! Running like a champ now :thumb:
That looks like it was a blast. I wish I had motorcycle buddies to ride with

Yeah, having friends is cool. You'll find one someday!

That 350 is pretty much the motorcycle equivalent to Pee Wee Herman's bike.
