Title: Anyone know vintage bicycles?
Post by: manofthefield on May 24, 2007, 05:24:13 PM
Brandi and I decided to buy bikes (pedal) to cruise around the neighborhood and go to the store, etc.  I scored a Schwinn Collegiate single speed with friction brakes that used to be used by porters on Mackinaw Island to take peoples luggage to hotels (no motorized vehicles allowed on the island).  I don't know how old it is or anything, but it's fairly old.  My guess is 70's, maybe 60's.  Anyone know anything about it or where I might find info about it?

Yeah, I did that too, but most everything said 3 speed or 5 speed.  I'll have to weed through it later to see if there's anything about my 1 speed
