Title: Backfire at 4500 rpm
Post by: cybrgeek on May 24, 2007, 09:49:10 PM
Hello guys,
i am looking for some help. I took my bike out this year and i have a backfire at 4500 rpm when the trottle is closed and i am decelerating. i was wondering if anyone has any ideas? Otherwise the bike seems to run fine. It has been sitting for awhile so i was thinking it had something to do with the jets being gummed up with old evaped gas. but i ran some carb cleaner though them and it didn't seem to help.

It's common.  I never noticed my bike did the same thing until after I swapped exhaust.  Your bike is fine.
