My Bike Really smells very very Petrol *gas* like , its a very very very strong smell, running rich?
proformance is fine
coulde be, or it could have a fuel leal
No leaks at all , im regularly taking it apart and stuff, like when its not running , doesnt smell of petrol , when it runs , it fooking stinks of the stuff
FLoat Stuck? :dunno_white:
Runs fine , no backfires , no anything , just have a feeling its running rich
its not had a single engine fault. just it smells really stong of petrol , not from the engine or carbs ,
just the exhaust
Check your plugs to be sure if it's rich
They Was Dark , oh , errm i neva have to use choke . even on cold rainy days , starts on the button , and idles smooth as you like
Odd i no lol
Have you rejetted your carbs for that Nexxus exhaust yet? :nono:
Your 96 comes stock with 115 main jet which isn't that good to begin with

Unlike most of you who bought new , i didnt ,and i think its been rejetted before hand , as the bloke in the mot shop said it runs fine , and the cover for the air mixture screw is already off , and it was quicker stock then my mates Gs , we went together in a straight line , and mine pulled quicker., and went faster , even tho hes been riding alot longer ,
Its not running lean , as the plugs arnt white or anything , there darker
Hmm , ill wack on the Lunchbox and see what happens . i think its running rich
Well if the Mix is Rong eg , To much petrol , not enuff air , then i wack on a ton of air , then mess around with the mixutre screw , as looks like it may have been rejetted already , i mean , its got really good proformance , pulls hard in the low and stuff
White plugs are a sign of running lean, not rich. Black plugs are a sign of running rich. Tan plugs indicate an optimum mixture.

Thanks but i neva sed that white plugs meant rich , did i ?
thats pretty much made me think its running rich anyways , kool , thanks
I must have been posting tired or something. I saw it the other way around last night. But seriously, half of the time, I don't know what you're saying.
I get confused myself lol
Basicly , my plugs are dark in colour , and it smells of petrol really strong , so i do think its running rich , if i put more air into the system thro a airfilter , should balance it out , Thanks
And sorrry for being confusing
