Title: Daytime Visabilty of LED Taillight...
Post by: Lex143ms on July 24, 2003, 01:57:11 PM
The LEDs look sweet at dusk and at night, but does anyone have any pics of them on during the day and how bright they are?  any comments on daytime visability of the LED taillights?  You cant tell very well on Pablos site about the daytime visability of them.  And the search didn't turn up much in the way of that subject.

its very difficult to get the right effect on film/digital of what it actually looks like...as shown on the dusk shots as well as the daytime shots. You'll have to trust those of us with them that they are in fact very bright. Worse case, you install them, don't like them and sell them to someone else here.

I'm very happy with mine. They are at least as bright as stock and look cool to boot.

Well if you want a real technical explination.  They are 4000mcd LED's.  For a reference the ones in your computer are around 4-40mcd so 100-1000x brighter than your computer LED's.    1000mcd is looking at one candle from 10 feet away. and I have 24LED's which is like smashing 96candles into your taillight.  :thumb:

Hey Jeff,

I haven't searched for this answer so it may be a repeat. Do your boards fit in a 2001+ tail?

Thanks,  b
