Title: Triumph Street Triple
Post by: sanjay on May 27, 2007, 06:39:06 PM
Officially announced.  It's almost certainly what I'm getting after my GS, especially considering the amazing ride I had today on a friend's Daytona 675.

awesome bike.  I will definitely be looking to demo it when it comes out.

tip of the hat to Triumph for having the nuggets to bring a light/middleweight naked to the states.   :thumb:

See, now, unlike a lot of dual headlights, those don't look too small. They're bigger, the proportions look better.

Well, for me, I think the big dual headlights on the Speed Triple (and the future Street Trip) stick out too far from the bike.  Looks tacked on.  Maybe if the headlight buckets were shallower and/or moved closer to the forks it would look ok.  This is about my only complaint about the styling of these bikes though.   :thumb: for more nakeds

I'm sure your right WW.  Who knows, if I ever got one, I may grow to like it

I've been anxiously awaiting info about the street triple, and to be honest I'm disappointed with the looks. The windscreen and headlights look out of place, but even ignoring that, there's something about it that doesn't look nearly as nice as a Speed Triple or a Monster. That said, I'm still very excited about it, and I can't wait to see it in person. I could very well end up changing my mind if they do as nice of a job with it as they did with the Daytona 675.

Maybe it is the angle of the picture, but it doesn't look agressive enough with regard to it's stance.  It looks too much like a standard.  If the back were higher, the front lower. . . it would be the bomb.

Not impressed.  Of course Triumph has never failed to "not impress" me.

The Daytona 675 is much more impressive to ride than to look at.  I suspect this will be the same.
