Title: Seat question
Post by: roosterbike on May 29, 2007, 07:43:42 PM
Will a 2000 or older seat fit a 06-07 F series?
Saw Corbin had a set, just wanting to know

Sorry to say, no. The seat changed with the several other things in '01. The lack of aftermarket options for the seat is probably what's going to force me to sell the GS...

You can get plenty of places to make a seat for your bike.  I had a place that specializes in auto seats and tops do a seat for my GS.  They charged me $90 and it looks and rides fantastic.

Ask around.

Actually, I just bought a couple to experiment with myself.

I'm thinking I'll actually go a bit firmer, with broader support. The stock seat is painful in some way that flat surfaces never seem to be.

Firmer with less slope to the front helps a bunch.

Hey there,
If you want a nice seat, call these guys:

1.800.749.7328   They're in FL.

http://www.sargentcycle.com/default2.html

They do gorgeous seats at reasonable prices, with lots of options on foam, etc.

You send them your seat pan and they can modify your stock seat or redo it with new coverings and foam.

Check them out.

Best wishes,
Todd
