Title: Thoughts on a 2002 Suzuki GSF 1200 (Bandit)????
Post by: vsboxerboy on June 02, 2007, 09:33:45 PM
Tomorrow morning I'm going to go check out a GSF1200 in my area that is being sold on craigslist.  For the price, it looks too good to pass up and while I don't have all of the specifics on it, the owner said its in good condition and hasn't been dropped - but I'll have to check all that out for myself.

Just wanted to poke around and see if anyone has had experience with this bike and what your though are.  It looks like a sweet bike and a great step up for longer rides where some more power on the freeway would be a welcome addition.

mate has one identical to that, swears by it, uses more fuel then the GS, but has 2 extra cylinders and loads more grunt... reckons he can pull 100km/h in 1st, why you'd wanna though  :dunno_white: he has done about 20,000 trouble free kms, and I should add it was a demo bike when he brought it new from the dealer and had already done about 600km..... runs and sounds great  :thumb:

no the gs wont do that  but most non-cruisers will, and  most new crotch rockets can hit 100mph alittle past redline in 1st :thumb:

what a douchebag.  I calcelled plans with to meet this guy at 9am and I drive downtown and he's not picking up his phone.  Finally get him an hour later.  Apparently he sold the bike sometime between when I called him at 8pm the night before and then and didn't call me to tell me when he had told me to come look at it first thing in the morning.  Whatever, theres always next time, but I mean come on - thats pretty lame.
