**Please answer because I checked the clymer's manuel and this site for the answer but nobody seems to have this problem with all my symtomes.**Pictures help.
So I got a question my bike obviously has a fuel starvation problem because it won't run on "on" only on the "pri" position, which I didn't have a problem with until I left it on the "pri" position overnight and there was fuel coming out the carb drain spout(slowly). So I drained the fuel bowl. I can't smell any oil in the engine oil and I guess I could change the engine oil to be on the safe side but I just changed the oil(week ago) and fully synthetic oil is friggin' expensive. What you all think? what can go wrong?
I have noticed that around/under 100miles of ridding my bike wants to die on me. Like if I am at a light(on a warmed up bike) it sputters and if I don't give throttle it dies. I can still see there is fuel in the tank. With a 5gallon tank and stated mpg of 55 shouldn't I get more than 100miles? Also my choke seems to be not functional. When the bike is cold and I give choke it KILLS the engine so I have to rev it manually for like 30 secs.
I really want to solve the problem so I took off the fuel tank and the hoses look okay. How can I clean out the fuel tank? Carb should be okay right? My bike a 1999 with 4500miles on it. I am frustrated. Please help. If you need clarification please ask me.
Gas leaking = stuck floats.
Check the choke cable, make sure it's in once piece. Look at where it attaches to the carbs. When you turn it on/off does the lever at the carbs move?
And the revving for 30 seconds while startup may be a valve being tight.
Cool.

what about having the bike sputter and die at <3000rpm at lights after 100miles(after last gas stop). That has to do with the stuck float? Choke cable is attached to carb and it moves when I give it choke.
