Title: Full bike part out!
Post by: psychochild on June 05, 2007, 02:56:44 PM
So Im new here, I grabed a used GS500 that had been wrecked for pretty cheap,  and I think instead of fixing it up and selling it Im just going to part it out so heres what Ive got:

again the bike is a 2000 GS500 without the fairing (I dont know what model that is)

this bike had 3560 miles on it when wrecked!

Frame w/title, pretty bent in the rear, may be salvageable,  I know all the engine mounting points are strait, neck cup im not to sure about, rear section is pretty banged

forks are toast
bars, levers, gauges, front wheel and headlight are pretty messed up

tripple trees are in good condition, top and bottom with ignition switch,

I bought a new front rim with the intention of rebuilding the bike

front and rear callipers/disks are in great shape

rear wheel and tire

swingarm with shock and spring

seat is in great shape with no rips

tank is pretty beat up in the back, front half is good though

side pannels are scratched but deffinitly useable

signals

tail light

rear fender

foot pegs mounts and controls

miorrors are ok

anything else you can think of, if its from the neck cup back its probably in good shape

Engine Carbs and wiring harness im thinking about keeping for a different bike, but make me a good offer and there yours, all are in great shape

Im going to be putting all this stuff up on ebay in a few weeks if it dosent sell here, and I can garantee ill be charging more when I do.  If you need anything please email me!  Ill post up pictures soon, and by request fo specific parts.  Ill also be updating if I forgot any other parts.

There seems to be another full bike part out on ebay right now too. Just type in Suzuki GS 500 and see what comes up. Supposedly only had 767 miles on it.

I could use the left rear wheel spacer, the petcock, and the tripmeter knob & screw off the gauges (if they survived the crash).
