For the second time in four days, I am unable to reply in the Odds and Ends section. I can post everywhere else, but I get an error message when I hit Post.
Any suggestions?
OK, the new topic worked. That's progress.
I should also say that I tried it in IE and Foxfire AND from two different computers.
Here's the error message I'm getting when trying to repy to the Lithium superbike thread:

It's FireFox...
Some threads do get locked... maybe it's not on your end?
BUT,
I tried IE and Firefox. Also, locked threads show up as such in the icon. Also, I posted this originally using Firefox (and replied). I'm stumped.
I'm telling you, it's all the postwhores whoring it up in here...
:flipoff: Postwhores!

And I've used Firefox since version 1.0....I'm just old.
What's weird is that I can reply to some posts, just not to others. It happens whether or not I quote text. I think there's a PO sensor -- I can't post to threads when I'm really pissed!
Foxfire is pretty awesome, but it's not a web browser. That may be your problem. :icon_mrgreen:

Foxfire was pimp. I could never do it...I have a hard enough time thinking in English...

Actually, those are some of my favorite books. Living history -- I know that's subconsciously why I mistyped!
Now I cannot start a new thread in Odds and Ends.
due clear your cookies and temps, restart the pc, and quit yer bitchin.

Actually I did that already. But I will quit my bitchin!
oh...well I don't really know anything about computers...:D
it happens to me periodically...i just go on about better things and it usually fixes its self.
Can anyone tell me why I can't get any signal from my S-Video plug on my pc? I keep hooking my s-vid to rca adapter in there to try and make it show up on my television but I get no signal.
Mak,
If you are sure it's an S-Video connector, check in the printer driver controls -- my s-video output can be turned on and off there. I'm on the laptop now, but I can go upstairs and look at how to get to the controls if you can't find them.
Clearing cookies and rebooting was good advice. Not the problem here, but the best first place to try.
yup sure it's s-video...but it has four pins and my laptop has seven. Should my adapter have the same number of pins to get video feed?
Mak,
If I'm reading the following article correctly, you can't plug s-video into a composite input. But I am generally ignorant on newer video stuff.

I actually got these the other day as well. End result was that it posted a reply I wrote in one thread ... to another thread .. rather odd
