HEY!
I have posted this on here for the past two years and no one comes...
YOU ARE MISSING ONE OF THE BIGGEST RALLY'S IN THE US!
http://www.visitjohnstownpa.com/thunderinthevalley/
Dont let the lame website fool you... This rally is AWESOME! There are TONS of sport bikes, even organized sport bike only rides :thumb:
This is a sport bike ride a couple years ago during the rally.. (thats where I work in the background)
So.. over 200,000 bikes expected this year year! Make your GS one of them
COME !!!
I plan on being there with my buddy's dad and some of his riding friends.
AWESOME!
Now.. Who else :icon_twisted:
:icon_mrgreen:
if I get my bike on the road (assembled that is) i'll be there but that's in 2 weeks.....it'll be close....I'll let you know a bit later in the week
Are you close Jace? Maybee I can help ya?
i'm hagerstown md....about 1.5hours away...maybe a bit more...pitts is 2hours.....
if you see http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=34154.0 ou'll see what I'm doing...but right now before I would venture that far is to get the carbs synced (replaced exhaust valves) then tuned. That is of course after I get the fairing back on, the cables/lines hooked up, brake calipers back on, and all the fluids replaced, then a gentle 100mile break-in or so so the vavles don't cup again
Wow... That sounds like a bit of work :icon_mrgreen: I hope that you can get it all done and make it up here :thumb:
Ok... it starts this Thursday - Sunday...
who is in?
how did it go?
It was AWESOME! Over 200,000 bikes.
My GS was off the road for repairs so the boss let me take an 06 Shadow 750 that we had traded in. :thumb: Very cool.
All in all it was one AWESOME weekend. I put over 350 miles on the Shadow just crusin around and joining up for diff rides :thumb:
You guys should have came :cookoo:
It sucked. Well, it sucked because I got home from reserves on Saturday, crashed on teh couch, and didnt wake up until well after dark. :) Sunday was the same deal too. Didn't get back until later, and by the time I hit the Altoona/Ebensburg area, all bikes were heading away from the Johnstown area.
I did make it down for the Clarks show on Friday, and although the show was good (as was their opening band, the Marauders), I hit the food area looking for something to eat. Holy freaking crap! The vendors should be in jail for robbery. $8 for a chicken on a stick? $6 for a burger? I forget the vendor's name but they seem to rail the customer when it comes to prices year after year after year after year.... Somebody should have told those vendors that the event was Thunder in the valley, not Thievery in the valley.
