Take a torch to those bitches and burn all that ghetto chrome shaZam! off. Wal-Mart has a spiffy deal on a set of heavy open end wrenched for like $7...so I bought a few sets of each. First time I really used them the chrome shaZam! started to peel a bit. Trying to break some tie-rod ends loose on an old RX-7 I started cutting my right hand all to shaZam! on that f%$king chrome...not realizing what was happening I passed the wrench to me left while I examined the damage to the right. Before I caught on I had already sliced a couple good runs across the palm of my left. I now have razor-like runs down all the fingers and on my palm on my right, and runs down my left pinky and middle. Some of which are a quarter inch deep...I'd take a picture to show some of you guys what human bone looks like but I already sutureglued them together.
Yeap Down with Chiwanese Tools.I always use those to Modify to get into Tight Places.
don't get me wrong...I LOVE chinese tools. You're certainly not going to get a heavy duty 1" 54pc ratchet/breaker set from Craftsman for $35, or a 150pc hex key set with a nice big ABS dividing case for $20. Chinese tools are great. It's Taiwanese and Vietnamese and South American tools that suck ass. It's just that damn chrome coating on some...it needs to be seared off.
yup but what i usually do is wrap them in electrical tape, which reminds me, grap the combo wrench you use on batteries, wrap it in elec tape, just incase it slips so you dont touch both contacts at same time :thumb:

But that makes for a shocking good time. I had 'Craftsman' burnt in my hand for a couple months when my friend put the wrench i was using on the battery. I picked it up and got zapped and burnt a little, the shock wasn't bad but man had that thing gotten hot in a matter of a few secones
yeah 800-1000 amp dead short.....yeah there's some heat there....
