Oh well, the GF has returned from her all-girls-together trip to Cyprus with her sisters and the Son and his GF are moving temporarily to mine for some time by the coast so now the cat-feeding is sorted I'm off. I will be on a ferry on sat morning for Calais then head west to Brittany - Normandy, down the coast to the Spanish border heading in the general direction of Pamplona but this could probably change depending on whim-of-the-moment. I will have a look around Norther Spain, Pyrenees and all that and may take ferry back Bilbao - Portsmouth and then again, may not.
I will probably take a few pix and post some on return. If I get as good a ride as prague last year I will be happy. Still thinking maybe Istanbull next year....... :thumb:
Safe riding & watch out for those frogs
Please post some pics when you get back. :thumb:
Sounds like a great trip, have fun!
Sounds like an awesome trip -- Spain is one of those places I want to get to before I die! A buddy went and had a folder full of beautiful pictures.
Have a fantastic time! Can't wait to see your pics.

There are a few colloquialisms there, for sure. Allow me:
Quote
Oh well, the GF has returned from her all-girls-together trip to Cyprus with her sisters...
"My girlfriend has returned from an "all-girls" (yeah, right, that's what they say) trip with her sisters to Cyprus.. "
Quote
and the Son and his GF are moving temporarily to mine for some time by the coast
"...and my son and his "girlfriend" are temporarily moving into my abode near the coast (PARTY TIME!) for some undetermined period (EVICTION PARTY TIME!)..."
Quote
so now the cat-feeding is sorted I'm off.
".. so now that the problem of cat-feeding in my absence is solved (at least, I have some hope... ), I'm leaving. It seems like a good time not be be here."
You see? It's almost English, once you make allowances for the fact that the language in the Old Country degraded considerably after we split off... ;)
Pamplona? With the Running of the Bulls approaching? Have you packed the traditional white shirt and pants?
Have fun in France! Remember, the French will understand english if you shout loud enough. I'm full of valuable travel tips like that, so feel free to ask.
Looking forward to the pix! :thumb:
