My bars are slightly tweaked from the PO dropping it... (looks like multiple times LOL) I fixed(well, straightened) the bent blinker bracket. Anyway I've been riding it no sweat that way it is, doesn't bother me but I'd like a newer cleaner and black set with a set of bar end mirrors as my mirrors are getting a little weathered looking. I don't want to spend a ton but want a decent set of bars.
go to parts-unlimited.com... there are nicer bars than that. 29" wide is 1.5 inches wider than stock. might not seem like alot but I lost an inch with my new bars and noticed it alot.
Or you could just buy srinath bars.
Cool thanks, I'll check out parts unlimited, and also see if Srinath has any more as well. I figured I'd ask about those bars on ebay since the guy sells cool bar end mirrors and maybe I'd get both from the same shop.
I've recently installed the Bikemaster Superbike handlebar from bikebandit.com and am very happy with it.

Good price! The center doesn't look wide enough though, they have the center listed at 4 inches, that doesn't seem wide enough, unless I'm thinking of that measurement incorrectly... My top clamps measure almost 5 inches from the end of one to the end of the other. Did you have any issue with this?
Just get some 2 inch risers and buy some 36 inch wide bull bars.
Pretty much any 7/8" bar will work. If you can find a shop that has a bunch of them it's nice to be able to compare them in person rather than just looking at the measurements.
A bar is pretty much a bar and the quality shouldn't be an issue. Usually you can find bars in a shop for $20-$25

Unfortunately the shops in my area are all between $90 and $150 for Handlebars. Not sure what the difference is in quality the prices vary wildly, even online LOL. I want some Napoleon Bar end mirrors as well, so I may go with the Bike Masters, Geez $15 bucks! LOL... I can call them and ask them what that center measuremnt means. Thanks!
No problems whatsoever. In fact, this particular handlebar was recommended on the GS500 Wiki.

Yup I've seen that bar recommended here. It just threw me off with that 4" center measurement. I'll call them before(If) I order though. Thanks! I can order the bar end mirrors from them as well, so I may just do it.
does the srinath still make the bars? I've got another market for him if he does...
