Title: are the older 550's any good ? I found one on craigslist blah blah blah

is it worth a trip out to test ride, and maybe cafe' the hell out of it ?

i like the looks of it, but just need opinions.

All bikes are good, even the human-powered kind.  Worry about whether the price you're getting it for is good.  I wouldn't pay over $700 for something like that.

interestingly enough, that IS the asking price.

usually if a specific year/model or whole line is junk folks will pipe up though.

the suzukis seem to be bulletproof so far

at 700 yeah go test it out :thumb: :thumb:  if ya like it 700 is cheap given that there are no real mechanical problems.
