Jay.
I doubt it will bolt straight on, but in saying that nothing is impossible. I am sure if someone was keen enough and had the fabrication skills they could make some modifications that would enable it to fit. Or if their pockets were deep enough they could find someone capable of doing the work and pay them to do it. In addition to the problem of making it fit to the pivot and the suspension linkage there will be other issues to consider such as chain alignment and the mounting of the brake caliper.
Hmm , didnt think of that , ill just do a 4.5 inch wheel swop
the swing arm off a ... wtf is it a gsxr 600 is a swat swap.... jim kopf where are you??
he's done it
Mr Jim , does no he stuff , i was gonna get A Bandit wheel , and follow your walkthough :thumb:
Just put the kat wheel on  You dont need the swingarm. Put the gs cush drive in and sprocket....bend the brake arm to clear the tire...thats it. Ken,sri, wanna back me up on this?
the kat wheel off a pre 98 is a 3.5 inch , i double checked the one in my garage , so i bought a Complete Bandit 600 wheel , with disc, tire everything , for 25 pounds off ebay , im gonna keep the Tire *140 in mint condition , cush drive , and bearings off the Kat wheel . , and use the 4.5 with a 160 ;) :thumb:
i want the meanest Gs ever , * apart from Jims*
Jay,
you live in the land of friggin kewl parts
get a RG-V 250 AL braced or banana arm....heck the whole swingarm assy with rim/brake /shock/ linkage ..everything
Jay we discussed this wit Jim in another post. You can use the B6 rear wheel, with GS bearings. To get full brake pad contact you have to use B6 bracket and caliper.OR,you can find a B12 swing arm, with brakes,5.5 wheel, axle, and adjusters.Jim can supply you with the need parts to complete the install.I am doing the 88 GSXR 750 S/A with the B6 wheel.Trying to finger out the brakes still. Also, dgyver and I have thought about modifying a frame to accept the newer GSXR750 S/A and 5.5 wheel.I'll be glad when he gets a chance to take some measurements. Here's the links.
B6 wheel install.Matches the GS front wheel. :thumb:

The bandit shock will work. Some of the bandit shocks will lower the bike a little, and be soft for a heavy rider like me.Can't remember if it was wiki or pablo's site that tells about this.
Hmm , well i have a Hagon Gs shock , anda i dont no if it will fit a bandit swingarm, but really , there isnt a point , if im running a 4.5 inch rim anyways
