Post by: shenobi on June 19, 2007, 08:00:36 AM
hey
i do some serch and i dont get it
is it fine to to attach the sliders to the frame it self?
if the bike falls with the sliders that  attach to the frame will the frame damaged?
or its better to to attach to screw of the engine?
thanks

I'd say that the engine is more stout than the frame on the GS, so it'd probably take the impact better, but then again the engine isn't a stressed member, so it's hard to say.  Either way a drop isn't going to be good, but unless you pull some wicked high-side where the bike goes cartwheeling, you're probably fine with either route.  The case guards don't look as cool as sliders though.

When you say attach to the frame vs the engine, what do you mean?  Perhaps you're talking about this?
