Title: Bike Stolen (friend's BMW GS)
Post by: MrDan on June 21, 2007, 07:06:16 AM
Hey everyone in the DC metro area.  A friend of mine had his '99 Blue BMW F650GS stolen last night in the Columbia Heights area.  If anyone sees or hears anything about it, please let me know.

Dan

Doubt that it will make it this far south but I will let my friends up north now.  Anything that makes it stick out?

I'll ask and see if there's anything distinct about it.

There is a crack in the indicator panel on the dash.

Update: The bike was found this afternoon.  Seems that the people who stole it just popped the clutch and wheeled it down the street to an alley.  They they proceeded to try (and fail) to drill the ignition.

So Jack got his bike back and only needs to fix the ignition.  And get a better gate lock :)

no it doesn't...that's why, to date, 254,000 Yamaha r6's have been stolen.

As for the beamer...I've learned that if you slump a corpse over the tank just about everyone will leave the bike alone.
