Please don't hate me, It's a 94 ex 500. Got it dirt cheap and in great shape, only needs a paint job. Is there anything I should know about this bike? Things to look out for. We got the bike for my brothers to share untill we sell it.
I still like the GS a lot better :thumb: I think the GS handles better.

other than that, they seem to be fairly stout bikes like the GS, except it has two possible causes of death instead of one: no oil or no coolant. Thats all I know about em
I know it the thing looks fake! My brothe asked where the rest of the fairing was.

You guys must not understand, :nono: I'm GS all the way!
I just found EX for Cheap, me and my dad got it so my brothers can ride with us.
I'm a GS lover 100% :thumb:
ehh, make it naked and it will look beter. EX500 is a nice bike as well. Enjoy it and i hope it doesn't spring a leak on you, check all the water hoses for brittleness.
I'd say join a EX forum and ask there, they would know more about it than we will.
and grats on the new ride :thumb:
Well i know that the poulation of squids is a bit higher on the EX forum that i saw when i was try to decide one way or that other.
Things to look out for: rusting at the base of the verticle coolant tubes coming out of the head, inboard of the sparkplugs. You'll have to drain the coolant and pull them to get a good look at them. Grease the o-rings whenever you install them. Go buy an extra pair to have on hand, just in case.
You should totally streetfighter that thing!
