I finally sold my GS500 for a bigger bike, A 2001 stock Bandit 1200S in blue with around 20000mile on the clock, one previous owner from the suzuki dealer.
I know I gotta miss my GS, and lucky enough i will get to meet her a few times a year, as I am looking after it for my mate

My 12 year old son has claimed it as his first bike. :-)
I have a DL650 but the GS is still my favorite bike.
One hundred more miles and it will have 25,000 miles and still running like a top.
I am probably going to move up to a Bandit 1250 or Honda 919 next year (2008 model)... but I will keep my GS500 (1990) just in case I get to urge to take something apart!
How do you like the 1200? I hear the 1250's exhaust is too quite...
my really first idea was get a 1250N, but when I went down to the dealer I saw the S1200, so i decided to save some money, and get a used.
Recently, alot of ppl traded 1200 for the 1250, but I reckon I will wait for a little longer until I get the 1250, due to the newly designed engine.
The 1200 is really cool, and just like the litte GS you can modify it to a really extreme level if you what, the older GSX-r engine parts fit the bandit engine really well.

Is the S the one with the crappy half fairing ? my stepdads got a streetfightered Bandit 1200 , running 139 Bhp :thumb:
Actually I like that naked one better, the MK1 fairing is not good, the MK3 is not good too, but the MK2 is just fine for me.
I reckon the stock 100hp is good enough for me at the moment, so I planned to mod the fork and shock first, while pipes and jet kit will be the next step.

the dream bike is the GSX1100 katana!!
funny u should mention that , theres a thread in this streetfighter forum , that someone put a GSXR 1100 engine in a 750 katana , and its got Nos....
