Title: gas leaking through new intake
Post by: rhino66549 on June 23, 2007, 04:39:29 PM
I just installed a k&n lunchbox on my 2007 gs500f and it's leaking fuel through the air filter. I haven't adjusted the carbs yet and I was wondering if that was why?

Did you rejet the bike or remove the carbs?  Anyway, it sounds like one of the float needles isn't seating, allowing the float bowls to overfill and drool fuel out.  Remove the float bowls and figure out why the float needle isn't seating.  It could be a bit of debris, incorrect reassembly, or simply a sticking float if you flipped the carbs over.
