I have looked into it and I am pretty sure it is all on your bike.  OTher than that all I can say is that it is more advance courses and manuvers intended for someone with the basic course already taken and some riding experience.  I am going to take it one of these days simply because i think it would be interesting.

It was AWESOME!!!

I completed the MSF ERC with my GS (now bluelespaul's GS) with flying colors.

It was MUCH easier than the 250's...  of course, I had been riding for a year when I took it.

Basically...  Think of the MSF BRC...  None of the starting crap (walking the bike back and forth, getting a feel for the clutch control, etc...).

Everything else is the same tho.

Yep.  I was dreading the 8's, but when it came to the practice session, I ACED it.  I was SOOOO happy

Where'd you take the course?  I did mine in Mtn View, the instructor was a big advocate of wearing leathers always ("Dudes, whoever figured out that cows slide nicely on asphalt deserves, like, a Nobel prize").

Mine got canceled the first time too, so I went and took the DMV test (and passed), but I wouldn't recommend it. I know it's a pain in the ass, but hold on and things should work out.

Good ole uncle sam protecting his investment. Doesn't the base have an msf Instructor? I have a friend who retired as a colonel a few years ago that used to teach on base. Just don't get busted riding on base if you haven't taken your class, it can be pretty damn severe from what he has described.

yeah we have instructors on base we just dont have a course to hold the class. o yeah from what i hear it is bad if you get caught riding on base

At Moody AFB if they catch you riding without your endorsement they suspend all driving privileges for 3 months and your likely to get your nuts chewed on by some crusty old CMSgt. :o :o

The words benefit of the doubt. 2 opportunities, Leavenworth, and dishonorable discharge were all mentioned. He was telling our boss a story about a young Corporal who failed to take his MSF after being warned 2 times by his CO. Apparently just having a M endorsement does not excuse you from taking a riders course before riding on base.
