Title: windscreen for dual headlights
Post by: heatherg11 on June 27, 2007, 03:59:10 PM
anyone know of a windscreen/flyscreen that will work with dual headlights.  Looking for something that will look good and be a little bit of a wind buffer. thanks

My lights are from a Lightning. I think 03 type. The wind screen I think was like $50-70 from the dealer new  :thumb:

Thats not much of a wind screen though. It might keep the bugs off of the gauges, but thats about it.

nah that is more for looks than function, it basically just hides wires.

I got it on eBay listed under "universal windscreen".  It's called a Spitfire or something like that.  I rode for a couple months without a screen and it was hell, on the freeway at least.  I have the Buell headlights with custom mounting brackets.  The wires that were previously contained in the OEM headlight housing are kind of bundled up behind the new headlight and are still kind of a mess.  I havn't figured out a trick way to conceal them yet.

Actually, here is a link to the exact one I have. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CLEAR-UNIVERSAL-WINDSCREEN-WINDSHIELD-HANDLEBAR-MOUNTED_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35590QQihZ010QQitemZ200123234899QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V)  Since I have Srinath's drag bars I was able to angle mine back so it doesn't look quite as dorky as it does in the eBay pic.

You can get an extention for the Buell, I've seen them on the web and on a bike. With the extention on it's about head level, you can snap it on and off depending on what type of ride your taking.
