yep the hyabusa is still as ugly as ever october is the release of the b king over here, shame they didnt release it the same time as the gsr.
why would any one want to fair a bandit???? almost as pointless as a faired gs!

Sigh. Multiple electronic "modes" (try plugging a Power Commander into THAT), catalysts, and slipper clutches whether you want them or not.

Looks like I'd better buy some '06 or '07 I like and count on keeping it for a loooonnng time.

Actually, I thought it WAS the new, updated '08 GS for a few seconds... until I glanced at the specs.

And the answer, because Americans MUST have fairings, by default. No choice. Naked bikes must be rare, and any naked bike will cost 20 percent more. The rest of the world will get naked bikes by default.

Feh.

I thought it was too at first.  I was like, thank god the GS finally got dual brakes!!!!!  I hate that.......fairings are ghey :flipoff:  But that't what has kept the bike I'm buying from being sold up til now.   Guy said almost everybody that called wanted to know where the fairings were :icon_confused: :icon_confused: And the rest were wanting beginner bikes

I think the Bandit looks like Half GSF and Half Can-O-Tuna...

YAY!  More Giant plastic chickenheads...   :icon_rolleyes:

Uhh, what the hell are y'all talking about? That's not the Bandit.

The Bandit is the GSF650, and the half-faired is the GSF650S.

The GSX650F is the new KATANA.

not bad for a Katana, looks almost like suzuki took a page from yamaha with the appearance...

Suzuki doesn't care what my opinion is, because mine is a GS, and it will last a loooong time.

Suzuki cares what that potentially NEW rider likes, compared to others on the showroom floor.

I'd like to see updated bikes just like everyone else.  :thumb:

No.  Its the Bandit (google the model name if you don't want to take my word for it).  The Katana is being discontinued (and never was 650cc).  The Bandit moved to 650cc in 2005 and has always been an inline 4.

I clicked te link before reading the replies and that was the first thing I thought too ... looks like a GS500F with the SV passenger footpeg mod  :thumb:

*i'm ducking while saying this btw* ... I kinda like it , as well as the B-king ( it reminds me of a TLR with the big tank & wide top plastics & semi-naked bottom)

Then they changed the Katana to the Bandit, because the Katana has always been the GSX-F, and the Bandit has always been the GSF or GSF-S.

Katana's discontinued and it was replaced with the faired GSF.  That's not hard.  The Kat and the Bandit shared the same powerplant...you may have noticed that that powerplant really isn't floating around anymore.

I really wish they'd do the faired B12...reminiscent of when the Katana was a real badass.

I like the looks of the B-king (even if there isn't any "B" anymore), but I'm very disappointed in all the junk... "ride mode" electronics, slipper clutch, catalyst... pretty much scratches it off my list.
