Long time since I have posted GSers. Need some opinions about what might be wrong with my wife's GS. The other day it just started pissing gas out the K&N lunchbox and by the time I got home there was a large pool of it under the bike. Needless to say, I wasn't pleased, but what can you do right?
When we first got the bike I had to repair the diaphram in the petcock, as it had torn I am thinking it's the petcock that is the problem. When I turn it to off or reserve it stops. When it's in the on position I get a little gurgling sound around the carb area and gas starts dripping out the filter again.
Is it possible to repair the petcock with a new diaphram or would it be better to just buy a whole new petcock? I gotta get this fixed since the little G is going up for sale next week.
Stuck float needle?
yea floats are stuck up letting gas pour into the carbs then down into the air box

Time to clean the carbs :thumb:
Run the tank down to about a gallon and put in a whole bottle of barryman's fuel system cleaner. It cleared some debris from the float valves in my CX pretty well...or i think it did but, in general, most of those cleaners are just snakewater.
Thanks Guys I'll check the float.
That was it. The left side carb float was way off. Set it to the same level as the right and we're rockin.
