Title: Next problem...
Post by: Kzin on July 01, 2007, 01:26:31 PM
This one could be bad...

I got the float level fixed, and there's no more gas pouring out the air filter.  The bike cranks great and runs with both cylinders firing, but it's slow to return to idle and gas is starting to leak out around the exhaust pipe.  You can tell there is unburnt fuel in the exhaust.  When you pull the plug it is wet.

I am pretty sure it's firing in that cylinder since it idles strong, it even revs up good and fast.  Needle unseated?  Slide sticking?I am truly pissed that I am going to have to pull these carbs...yet again.  Help!

Never mind guys I think I got it.  Shoulda checked the slide before I put everything back together....

Must have unseated the needle when I was blowing out the passages in the bowl.  The needle was completely out of place...than goodness I didn't pull the carbs before I checked it.  She should run like a scalded dog now.
