Title: Painting tires
Post by: Mike500 on July 01, 2007, 06:31:01 PM
I'm thinking of painting the letters on my tires white.  I see there are several paint pens out there specifically for this.  Anyone know how well this works, and how well the paint holds up?

i used to paint my tires orange and then go scrub the paint off the contact surface...for one thing it let me know exactly how much of my tire I was using and it made my bike look like Tetsuo's bike.

I used to use it to touch up white walls and lettering on customers cars when I was a tire boy.  :thumb:

yea any marker should work.. if you can try to get a brand called "speedies"   the ink will actually increase the airflow over the tire creating less drag...this in turn will allow you to go faster...i believe  its 10 mph faster  but cant remember good luck :thumb:

+1 on that, that makes no possible sense what so ever?  maybe you might see a tenth of a mile an hour but even that is doubtful.
