Title: Anyone know of a more comfortable seat for 2000 gs500?
Post by: apquinn on July 01, 2007, 10:08:02 PM
I was wondering if anyone has seen custom, jdm, oem, or any type of seat for a 2000 gs500e. I've seen pictures of some on the gallery part of this website but am having trouble finding any online. My Girlfriend and my asses are starting to hurt and we want a more comfortable seat.

I believe Corbin still makes a gunfighter and lady seat for the pre-'01 GS.

I used to own my own auto upholstery shop and for about $20,most shops will reshape the foam.Softer foam and vinyl should run bout $30 to $60 depending on what you want.Maybe more if ya get fancy.Just remember, seats with seams have a habit of wearing out faster, getting water logged in the rain and the foam gets moldy. If they have your choice of materials in stock, shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to an hour.

Sargent will do custom work on any base, I've heard usually 200 bucks, with a new cover.

I really like the Sargent on my Ducati...700+ mile days no problem (well, figuring out how to burn those 700 miles can be...).
