Ok I found this light I want to add onto my existing fixture, so how would I go about adding it into my wiring? All it has is a + and - so nothing else and it is 12v i believe. I am up for using 9 volts or something if i have to. I kinda prefure it since i could turn it on and off easier if I had to hide the light from a cop. Please post if you have any ideas or links, i tried using the search but I couldn't find anything. Thanks.
clarify what you want to do.
what 3rd light... 3rd headlight? Have you already installed a 2nd, because there is only one and a parking light....

yeah headlight, but there is two lights in the headlights on a gs500f 07 or does that count as one somehow? I want to add a light inside the fixture somehow. I just need help with the wiring.
Thats the parking light i think

Oh well that would make since, I never really tested out what light was what. So I guess my question is now how would I add a second light then, I was thinking with some relay or something that would turn on and off with a switch.
you're not going to be able to easily add a second headlight.
and that smaller 198 bulb in the bottom is a parking light..... it puts out about as much light as a candle.
well , put ur bike on the stand , and turn the key all the way to the left , the front and rear light should come on , err, im not a 100% on that one , i mean like , if u wired another lamp in , i dont see why it wouldnt just turn on when u put the rest on
he wants to put another light inside the reflective dome for the headlight housing.
If he really wants a second headlight, he should just mount driving lights to the inside of the fairing, but I'm fairly sure he wants it for aesthetics rather than for an actual purpose.
I seeee , i saw on FSD . that they are putting lights on Belly Pans ,*chin Spoilers* i think that would look trick as !! :thumb:

I was thinking of just adding the light and add a secondary battery like two 9 volts or something with a switch so it would be a totally separate electrical system from the bikes. I was thinking of buying a cars headlight and just putting it in there but that would involve me being not so much lazy as more money issues. I think the two 9 volt battery's would be cheaper
@ jay: I will try that when I get off work. Theres park key spot and just lock. I killed my battery turning it to park once. It should be harder to put in park.
Just wondering why are you doing this? If you want more light then get a HID kit for your bike.

Im going to put brighter bulbs in my bike so that will take care of that, unless i can find a hid cheap somewhere. It's more cause I am a custom junky and i can't stop customizing everything i own or buy. Besides it would look really sweet when I am done. I think I found the thing I am looking for :) I will post pictures after the forth when I have it done. funny thing is wont cost me more than 30 bucks if that to do this lmao thats cheap compared to most extreme mods like tail huggers or tail light mods.
Hm,, Admittedly with me , moneys no object , really , as long as i can earn it , and with Jim , hes just a rare one :thumb:
