Title: pig spotter 2
Post by: cerius on July 05, 2007, 02:10:15 PM
Any thoughts on this mirror? I thought about this for my next upgrade.
here is a pic of the thing

I might get these since it would go good with my bike's color, and that I would have the blue leds be on the a switch for either on only when blinkers are on or just on, or all off.

Not sure what state you live in but you should check local laws to see if those are street legal.

Most pig spotter mirrors I have seen were more or less useless, only thing they were actually for was to say I have mirrors incase you got pulled over.   Other than that they had 0 functionability.  ( Ummm is that a word? )

i mentioned these a few times on this site and all i got was critizim  about them.  I think they work great.  a buddy has them on his 750 gsxr and you can actually see more around you then just the outside of your shoulder.  Although be carefull there is a blind spot on there  i just cant remember where.

i emailed the manufacture and asked him if it would fit on the gs500f and he said yes, also they are coming out with a universal base that you can adjust the size and angle of the mirror, didn't say when it's in prototype i am asuming

Blue has a point. I doubt blue glowing mirrors heading down the road is legal.

I think our bikes have the same mirror mounts as the SVs and the busa's.  If they have them for either of those bikes it should work on the GS.

Yeah, the manufacture already confirmed that. I think I am going to wait til that new base comes out tough so I can tilt it a little bit. I like my right mirror facing half 1/4 behind me so i can see the cars behind me and my left all the way out barely bast my elbow.

Agree, I just got done looking at them myself, and they look pretty damn sweet. I was thinking about getting the chrome since I have a yellow 04 GS500F. Did you get them already or are you waiting for the ones that can pivot? As for ohgood, "hate the game".

I've got an 06 Gixxer 6 on my lot with them... and they have the right level of sight, it's just too bad your elbows are in the way.  I can imagine that them on a F fairing, being that it's WAY steeper than a Gixxer/Busa/SV will point toward the clouds.  If you want to make sure there are no 747's tailgating you, they'll work for that!

LOL  I was thinking that might be the case. I just need a good looking way to replace my stock mirrors since they show a lot of elbow and you can't really see behind you.
