Someone here ordered Kentucky Fried Movie DVD from Amazon (some very nice person who was helping the site). That is one of my top 10 favorite movies
Someone here had good tastes :thumb: Is the picture better than the VHS tape?
I buy only DVD's and that too Widescreen.. no full screen for me.
The quality is so much more better, and if you have an HDTV and a progressive scan dvd teh picture will be amazing .. and best is ofcourse to have a Superbit DVD on a progressive scan dvd + a HDTV..
Superbit is the highest quality DVD, they have no extra's, just the movie. That way they can bump the quality up. Only about 100 superbit titles are out there but they make a huge difference.
If your getting a DVD invest in a HomeTheater system, its no use watching your dvd over a tv mono/stereo speakers.
I have a HDTV but not a progressive scan DVD. The Home theatre DVD has s-video output so the picture is better. With my lousy vision its good enough for now.
So was it you Manjul? Did you buy KFM?

nah it wasnt me.. i havent heard of teh movie.
Progressive scan dvd's arent that expensive these days, it makes a difference.. I prefer to use component inputs (RGB) if the tv has it over Svideo, but Svideo is way better than plain old composite (video/LR audio).
I dont know how much of a difference it would make but i heard its a huge difference to run progressive (smoother video) on a HDTV capable tv. I ofcourse i personally havent seen it because i am a college student who cant afford HDTV but i marvel at it everytime im at the local electronics store..
well someday i will get my hands on a plasma HDTV.
Although, so far there's no known treatment for death's crippling effects, still everyone can acquaint himself with the three early warning signs of death: one, rigor mortis; two, a rotting smell; three, occasional drowsiness.
I LOVE......."Catholic High School Girls in Trouble"!!!!!!!!!
first movie i got pulled out of by ...... mom
Bah to your weak HDTVs! I say get a projector!
Granted, the resolution is not as high (yet) but to watch a Superbit DVD with a 100" diagonal screen from about 12' away is awesome!!
And they probably cost about the same as a decent HDTV too.
Hey John,
Ever though about setting up an affiliate account at Barnes and Noble (//www.affiliate.net) for those who don't use Amazon? I have had service issues with Amazon and prefer not to trade with them.
John,
If we follow the clymer link to amazon, then browse and buy other things does GStwin still get a 'donation' from Amazon? if so I'll be doing that much more often now.
