Title: Double Sided DVDs
Post by: MrDan on July 06, 2007, 09:18:13 AM
Does anyone here know where I can buy Double Sided DVD blanks?  They can be -r/+r/rw/whatever as long as they'll play in my player.  I cannot really seem to find them for sale anywhere.

Best Buy, Circuit City, and even Radio Shack sells them, but I typically never see Double Layer or Dual Layer discs on sale.

Trudiscâ„¢ 4X Double Sided 9.4 GB DVD-R Media

The DVD-R media provides a reliable and cost effective format for data recording, distribution, and storage. A double-sided DVD-R disc can store up to 9.40 GB.

as low as $0.72 each

error - yeah - I want 2 sided ... I have tons of DL disks ... wont work for what I want unless I can find a way to retain menus for both disks being copied.

Nepix - The Trudisk is the only one I found (right before I posted).  was hoping for a better source since I wanted a few to see if they work (minimum there is 50 - ordered by phone), but I think I may go that direction.

at that point its probably better to switch to blue ray for more space or hddvd (if its going to exist for much longer)

Where can you find 2 sided DL disks?  I read they're coming out on engadget, but cannot find them for sale anywhere :)

Ahh - but I don't have a Blu-Ray or HD player or burner.  That's way too much $$ for me right now - I just wanted ot burn off what I have on my hdd ... sick of looking at 100gb of 2sided dvd backups
