This was a purchase my spouse made for my son to find that it was not a good Idea. This is known to be a racing bike. It runs way to fast for a young man who does not know how to ride.
"Known to be a racing bike."
Priceless. :)
Write him and tell him to get an NSR/RGV 250 it's half the engine size :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted: :icon_twisted:
He is a she terry, and she is a pissed off mother and wife.Give her hell.Everyone write her and tell her it's not a racing bike. It's a standard commuter bike.
Well I guess I better get rid of my bike, I don't think the wife'd be too impressed with me riding a race bike around.
She may not know much about the bike or motorcycles, tough to really know....but I admire her resolve.
would a mod please move this to where it belongs and off fs area
no
I wrote her and told her it was no race bike. at the same time If your not ready to mature enuff any bike is a bad idea. I kids want to ride, my son will most likely have to wait a wial longer then my girl. She has a little sence, he on the other hand is a boy and crazy. All he talks about is doing tricks :o, I'm sure he'll grow out of it but untill then NOPE!
I wish some of you people could distinguish between ignorance and stupidity.
there are some really stupid people out there, the guys is probably a loner and when he gets drunk he pretends he has a wife and cant spell shaZam!

No, it's stupidity. Ignorance is buying the bike before researching it. Stupidity is doing the research and determining that the bike is a "racing bike."
Eh, if you aren't familiar with bikes a EX250 may appear to be a "race" bike . It's all relative ... to someone who's never riden on two wheels , 50mph could seem really fast :dunno_white:
BUT , as far as that listing and that person specifically , I call BS and say it's the same person in both instances (not "the wife")
Ummm... Guys... People DO race the GS500.
Yes, people race pretty much every bike made. However, the implication is that it's a bike built for racing, which couldn't be further from the truth.
That bike is a bone stock from it's appearence. :dunno_white: I wouldn't bother driving it past a track, much less try to race it. :icon_rolleyes: I wouldn't even take my piece to a track.
ben i thought you wrecked your piece of shiot. And is it just me or are the majority of people from certain states a lot slower then the rest of america.

Yes I did.It took me a couple days to get the nerve up to open the building. It was 10 pm when my wreck happened and later when I put it in my building. It wasn't as bad as I thought. Some minor work with a sledge hammer and some hand tools and she's good as new.
This is what she wrote bsck to me.

claresia is the seller.
I am sure it is a great bike . But this kid has broke his arm 2 times on a reg. bike with NO motor. Same arm same spot. I just don't think it is a good idea. But he is old enough to buy his own and he did so. So I can not say NO to that bike. But I am hoping by the time he gets it running he will be in his 40's ( smile) But maybe he will have learned something. (I hope ) This is my wild child who speed where ever he goes and thinks he can live through anything. So it will have to be proven to him that he can get hurt 1st before he will believe it. So wish me and him luck. Thanks for the note. Jenn.
That was a very polite response. I guess her hubby bought the GS, but the son also bought his own bike as well. Weird!
