Title: Welding (Now with Pic's)
Post by: Crucialval on July 07, 2007, 06:50:02 PM
So I welded my Ramus muffler, GSXR rear pegs, and new tabs to hold the rear plastics and trunk lock. I also recest the taillight and removed the rear fender and replaced it with a flat piece of plastic. looks pretty good I'l post pics.  :thumb:

Ok those pics didn't work os here I go again.

This is the trunk lock moved under the frame so that it can't be seen from the side.

The rear looks good with nothing under it.

GSXR rear pegs, welded angle iron to the frame
(http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t299/crucialval/100_1338.jpg)

The weld could look better but It's strong
(http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t299/crucialval/100_1339.jpg)

You can see the blinker mount I used

final mockup trying to decied where to put the tag :dunno_white:

I've thought about putting an actuator on it, but that could lead to trouble.

looking really nice man. I like the idea of the seat lock under the frame, plus its probably stronger now that its not embedded in the plastic.

but man 2002/1/1 you should have shown us the pictures sooner  :thumb: (j/k)

Ducati??

A good factory take off from another bike is a lot cheaper than a new after market exhaust.I had a simular exhaust and sold it.I now have an R1 exhaust.I'll install it when my header is delivered.

Why would that be "squidly" ? Unless it says "Ducati" on the exhaust ( "Zukati" would be kinda funny though) , i don't see what difference it makes  :dunno_white:

Watch out someone might call you a squid.

Your luckly.

I really don't care what the can says, I was looking at all the big bike cans on ebay trying to find something better. It sounds better, looks better, and most importantly flows better. I'm not into to spending big money on a toy, Thats why I have the GS with still less then $1500. in it.

Call it what you will.
