Title: FS: GS500 (1989 / 1993) Parts
Post by: GS_Jarhead on July 08, 2007, 07:35:25 AM
Hi!

I just completed a near complete rebuild of my 1993 GS500E and have a few parts remaining   :icon_rolleyes:

My wife wants the stuff out of the garage / basement so make me an offer on anything ... I'm not looking to retire from the proceeds!

1993 (bike had less than 6K on it)

1993 (bike had less than 15K)

I probably have a few more odds-ends (e.g., headlight brackets, headlight) sitting in the garage so ask and I'll look for it

FOR THE DETAILS

My occupation requires extensive business travel so I may have some delays in answering an e-mail and sending you fully thought out response (e.g., part pictures, shipping details).

So, please be patient  :)

I am looking for everything but a motor ... shoot me a $$$ ... and if you're close-ish (I am in charlotte NC) ... I'd definetly come and buy it. Frame has title (OK OK it does, I know I cant read) ??? Need for GR swap  :icon_mrgreen:.
I'll take all of it I guess, but price please ...
Cool.
Srinath.

Hi!

I live in Cleveland which probably exceeds your definition of "close-ish"   :icon_confused:

Not sure how much is costs to ship a frame to you with whatever else you wish to acquire.

Perhaps the shipping charges exceed the benefits of the items.  :dunno_white:

Otherwise, I'm not looking to retire from selling these parts so we could work out a reasonable deal to your benefit.

If you need pics of items, I may have time to shoot / send later this afternoon as I'm heading out tonight for NYC for a few days.

Pics ... Pics ... Oh yea ... catch me asking for pics of what I wanna buy ... especially if its weird sheite like electricals and mechanicals and frame types.
Cleveland - OK definetly not close ... but I knew it was in Ohio ... I'll keep you posted, have a safe and fun trip ... Its $$$ but doable as of now. If I get a job soon, well, I'dship it then ...  :thumb:
Cool.

Hi there,

JRG151 and Bower100 (a fellow named John and his girlfriend's dad, Dave) are looking for a rear fender and a seat for John's GS500.
I am sending them a note telling them you have the parts and that should contact you ASAP.
I just sold John a set of forks to get his bike back on the road.
Can you help him with the rear fender and seat???
Thanks,
Todd

Beat it ya vultures ... I am buying the whole kit and kaboodle ... didn't you see my post ... BTW Here is a funny ...

Q: hey guys ... how to make Pandy have a ... lets just call it an O ...

A: Build a purple frame, purple body purple wheels GS with a GR650 motor in it ...

Which I wont ... but I have the means to do it ... I'd do a purple body (I have it all in purple with this purple tank) maybe, but frame is either getting powdered silver or black ... Or may do rattle can like werase suggests. Atleast he will have a smaller grin as he wire brushes the paint off ...  ... That look of glee as he sands off my powdercoated stuff is priceless ...

GS_Jarhead - Dude ... I dont care about pics ... but its srinath.the.man@gmail.com.

Cool.

Srinath,

I sent you a link to the parts pics.

Let me know what you need (I know you said all .... but Cleveland is a decent shipping haul to NC)

I'm out to NYC through Wednesday so I can't shoot more pictures of the items.

However, the frame and some of the items are the same as the bike frame you wanted from the other GS rider from Ohio (1989 - 5K no motor).

Again, let me know what you don't want so I can help out other GS'rs here with some stuff.

Thanks

I need a whole GS minus motor ... heck I would even want the bolts the motor mounts to ... but, OK I have some ... I want to build a GR motored, GS. Pretty much I need it all ... I am building a regular GS too at this time so my buying other crap may be for a whole different purpose.
Yes, pretty much need it all.
2 attempts to find one have fallen on their face ...
Cool.

OK Jarhead ...
I can give up the wheels (freaking tons of weight and bulk) ... stock rear shock - worthless and I prolly have 20 or so lying about, and prolly give up the swingarm ... the inner rear fender I can live with out ... I believe I have a spare ...
The rest should be shippable ... I'd take all the rest ... hopefully its a full bike, minus motor and these above mentioned ... do need all the rest ... When you get back, shoot me a $$$ and lets git'r done.
Cool.

Might be interested in the tank for the right price. I'm only 45 minutes away so I can easily pick it up.
