Title: A favor to ask of you all...
Post by: makenzie71 on July 08, 2007, 09:40:55 PM
Please go to sear's customer service contac (https://www.sears.com/sr/framework/home.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@1800853150.1183955108@@@@&BV_EngineID=ccfeaddlghhemdlcefecemldffidfno.0&targetPage=%2fmisc%2fsears%2fcustserv%2fse_custserv.jsp&vertical=SEARS) and send them an email complaining about the store in Lubbock.  The people who shop there, which isn't many after the last two weeks, and the employees who work there are all miserable.  The store has been without air conditioning for over two weeks.  My fiance has to work at this place, on the second floor, in the portrait studio and it's ridiculous how hot it gets in there.  It being 85+ in there makes her job hard as it is, but trying to crawl around taking pictures of toddlers and babies that are basically sitting in a sauna makes it impossible.  Anyone who wouldn't mind sending a complaint off wouold be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I don't have enough info to say anything bad/specific enough. What's the city, state, and zip; and what should I be complaining about? Just the lack of AC?

Here's what I gave 'em-

I recently stopped by your store in Lubbock to buy a couple pairs of shoes and some sports gear. The store's air conditioning seemed to be malfunctioning, and the interior of the store was sweltering. I asked a sales representative if it was going to be restored soon, but he replied that they had been without A/C for over a week now and that even some employees had been quitting because it was just too hot. I have been a loyal Sears customer for three decades, and though I don't want to change that I also will not be reentering your Lubbock store until I have heard that the air conditioning has been fixed. I found your store too hot for much shopping and left without making my purchases. I hope that you will take this matter into great consideration, and quickly, for I have no interest in spending time in a 90 degree and I doubt most of your customers do either. Thank you and I hope you resolve this issue with utmost urgency, Greg [last name]

Just have her take a bunch of fans and place then around her work area...

Fans from inventory stock work the best.  If management pisses and moans about that, she can complain about the A/C...  When they fix the A/C, she can put the fans back.

I forgot to mention, someone called me the day after I wrote that. Had some line about big problems with the system and they couldn't bandaid it any longer.

meh I never got any calls.  I did hear from the district manager, though.  I got an email from him saying he would address the problem immediately.  About an hour after that kalee hits me up and says the store's AC is supposed to be fixed by tomorrow.
