Title: Larry Bird dies...
Post by: ashman on July 11, 2007, 08:22:44 PM
Or so I thought, the article said Lady Bird has died at age 93. WHEW, I was worried for a second there.

Every time I ride in Texas and adore the beautiful wildflowers I think of here.  She was responsible for the campaign to sow wildflower seeds on roadsides and let them spread.  Over the last 40 years that has been an incredible transformation that several other states (including Oklahoma) have adopted.

Great lady!

an older lady that used to go to my church, which is now dead too, once took a trip on a plane and sat next to Lady Bird.  She always went on and on about their great conversation while on the plane.  She said she was one great, classy lady.  A pretty good way to be remembered, if you ask me.
