Hi Everyone,
Just in case you didn't know, The third Wednesday in July is National Ride to Work Day. :thumb:

I'll be on vacation.
So does taking the bike to work today count?
On Monday I took the V-Strom to work.
28 miles
Went home
28 miles
Went upstate to plead on a speeding ticket
325 miles round trip
Was too hot, had to be a good boy and ride at the speed limit.
Pure torture if you ask me.
Ok mp183, Seeing as your on Vacation, your exempt from Ride to Work Day. :thumb:
I know what you mean about being hot. I rode a little bit last Sunday and it was about 90F and real humid. :o I was fine as long as I kept moving. But, even with a mesh jacket, when stopped it was almost unbearable. So, I imagine when I ride to work next Wednesday I'm going to smell pretty ripe after my 35 mile commute. The Boss will llove that!
That's great...because I ride to work everyday. :thumb:
I posted about this last year, wondering if anyone was "observing" it. None of the people locally that I know who ride seemed even aware of it.
I counted motorcycles each day on my commute on the week or so leading up to it, and on the week or so afterwards. On "National Ride to Work Day" there were fewer than average.
I ride even if I still have to push start the bike
Yeah I ride to work every day, so... check. :thumb:
I'll be there...full gear as always.

With streets that turn into rivers w/ a foot plus of standing water. Yeah, I own a car.
