Due to some issues with my rear wheel, I may have found a solution in the form of I am being given a 2001 Katana rear wheel which according to the wikki is an easy swap. :thumb:
The problem being that it is black and my front rim is white.
Anyone looking to get rid of one for a decent price or trade the one I have or some type of workable deal?
My intent is going to be to get everything done so I can get my bike on the road.
Right now, it's not rideable. (Just discovered today. Huzzah! NOT)
Anyhoo, let me know if you have any ideas/deals/help/etc.
Why not just remove your front wheel and paint it black? Or paint the rear wheel white since it is already off the bike.

i agree, many crashed bikes where these parts come from don't have the front wheel let alone black. just buy what ever color you can and get it painted
Kat rear wheel, while is abolt in ... is not spacer and chain and brake rod rub free ... the B4 you have is also a bolt in ... washers and spacers aren't factored in when you say bolt in or not. BTW ask average and werase643 about what they did for the Kat wheel on average's bike.
Cool.
Srinath.
Thanks for the tips.
The Katana wheel I'm getting is free, just not sure when I'm getting it.
So, nothing lost there.
The Wikki makes it look pretty easy. (Doesn't it ALWAYS look easy. LOL)
Anyway, I'll figure it all out when I get the wheel.
No sense in worrying about it until then.
I just think the black/gunmetal would also look cool with the "HEY OFFICER I'M OVER HERE" red. :cookoo:
*shrug*
Just thought I'd put a feeler out and if there was one and reasonable, snag it.
Not like I haven't had parts laying around before.
(I have a grill and front spoiler for my Mazda in my Dining Room. LOL)
