you need one of those cable flags that dont let you put the key in the ignition until you remove the disc lock...silly boy!

hmmm...  Never heard of a cable flag.  I gotta look into that...

Nothing much...  Left side case is scratched slightly...  Left mid fairing has MINOR scratches along the edges...  I *MIGHT* be able to cover them up with some "cool" stickers of some sort.

I don't recall the name, but I would imagine it's very similar to what pastrami said.  They make these long plastic pieces that loop through the lock mechanism and the other end inserts into the ignition like a key blank.   I've seen em on ebay for $10 :thumb:

If anyone can provide a name, I'll send them free naked pictures of me.

If you don't want them, then it's free naked pictures of my sheep.

Get a big "remove before flight" streamer... when you put the lock on, put the streamer on your bars... then when you pull it off, you remember to take the lock off. Store them together.

Unless some jerk like me walks by and see's the streamer and thinks it's cool and removes it.  Causeing you to forget about the disk lock again. . . .

Don't be so upset it could have been worse.   :thumb:   Cndnmax when you get the pic's of An you gotta post them, and ask for ones with him with his sheep

Make a habit of parking so you HAVE to back out ?

You already have the habit to lock the bike.

Sorry...but you get the 'Tard Award for this one.  Plenty of locks that come with cables you tie around your throttle grip.  I stopped feeling sorry for people that jack up their bike this way after the first "safe" disc lock came out.

People think I am funny but I have a habit. I will walk around the bike twice before actually getting on it. once clockwise and once counter clock wise. I kick the tires toe check my chain tension look for signs of fluid leakage and anything that appears to be loose or sticking further out. I think this is a habit you need to develop if you are going to insist on using one of these disc lock thing's.

i tuck the case for mine by the ignition so there is no mistake which would be pretty difficult to pull off since i have the one with the alarm

My Xena goes off when I start the bike...  GS and Meany...   :dunno_white:  Never had a problem with forgetting to take 'em off...  (Although, this morning I *locked* the fork lock on the Meany when I thought I was unlocking it).

Hey An, I hope you fell over and scratched your ugly plastic!   :flipoff:

I've done it but always when I've been backing the bike out. Another thing that might help would be to get in the habit of putting the lock on right next to the fork so if you forget it'll only a travel an inch before it hits.
