Title: update with my led blinkers !
Post by: DaxFX on July 14, 2007, 10:31:19 AM
i went to an electrical shop and try to find 50w resistors like the ones that sells on eBay but only found 25w so i got 2 resistorfor each lamp they cst $1.75 ea so I got 4, 2 for each side lamp (only rear lamps)

I install them I just put on one side on each cable (1 on positive and 1 on ground) and the blinkers now works fine.

but now both of lamps have some dead bulbs inside. I think it damage when i try to used withouth the resistor(the bulbs {few only}). i will post a video so you can see !!

The video is on you tube !

Were the led's blown before?

Inline resistors can be a real pita. They get so hot that they can actually start a fire. You should be able to get a heavy duty / no load electronic flasher from an auto parts store for only a couple bucks more.

I've got a load balancer if any one needs one! I had LEDs all around but TBH they were a PITA always blew my turn signal indicator lamp. It took me forever to get everything working with the load balancers, diodes, and resistors.

I just went integrated mirror/signal and some small bulb signals on the back.

Your dead LEDs have not been caused by using or not using the resistors. Just bad quality LEDS.
