Just thought I would share this.
July 18th is the annual ride to work day for 2007.
http://www.ridetowork.org/
I'll ride as long its nothing like todays weather or it will be swim to work day.
-Ash
We had 22 or so days with rain in June. Of the 16 days which have elapsed in July we have had rainfall 11 of them. I am looking forward to things drying out a little. Unfortunately we never got the temperate spring days to ride in because it was so wet. We are going straight into summer. Oh well at least if it's not raining I can deal with the heat.
That logo looks like a wierd cafe racer with a Buell Fairing:

People need a special day? :dunno_white: Ride to work day is: Mon-Fri. :thumb:

I think it might be aimed at Harley & Ducati owners, so they can feel like normal motorcyclist. Plus they can then say that they're real motorcyclists & not just fair weather weekend warriors.
I try to ride every day, today was -5C (23f), I don't know if this makes me a real rider or a nutcase
Bubba, the second... welcome to the club
The scary thing is, the weather forcast for tomorrow is that it's to be even colder, with snow down to 500 metres. So there might be snow in town. :o
What's wrong with snow?
There's nothing wrong with snow really, it's something we rarely see in town. The roads out of town get shut because of snow, but we don't get it in town.
I just fired up my iCal (calendar) and realized I rarely look at a calendar.
I generally commute on suzi. She generally is more fun, efficient, better tuned, and maintained than the car(s).
It's a weird feeling to bounce over the RR tracks in a car/truck instead of on suzi.
I'm still on ride to work day 2003.

That should be "some" Harley riders. Since I got mine a few weeks ago my truck has only been out of the driveway about 4 times. Twice to take the go karts to the race track. My Harley Isn't afraid of rain! :thumb:

Ya know what thanks a million. I try to be nice and someone has to be an ass. Thought I would post a nice motorcycle related topic about getting out and riding and I receive your apathetic sarcastic attitude.

Lack of strife in my posts recently? Guess it sucked? Must be losing my touch.
4 days of 16 hours a day and then only getting 3 hours slep last night must be affecting my judgement.
Have fun everyone ride safe tomorrw

Apologies, I'll keep that in mind for next time I slag off a brand of bike.
I ended up taking the car today, as we got a dusting of snow last night & I'm scared of the ice.
Ha ha ha... Last year I said I was gonna drive on "Ride to Work day." I crack myself up...
Hmm... I've got two interviews tomorrow, I don't think I want to ride around with my suit on... and I don't think they'd appreciate me arriving all sweaty from wearing gear. I'll just make up for it by riding as much as possible when I get a job :icon_rolleyes:

Well, allrighty then... "ass?", "apathetic sarcastic attitude"?, "hater?" Where'd all that come from? Guess you didn't want to know how it played out last year... too bad.
Whatever your problem is, friend, it's all yours.
 Ahhhh thats better :icon_mrgreen: ^^^^^
Seriously read my post at the top of this page.
I feel better now work was only 11 hours long today and I got a nap before dinner.
Everyone ride safe tomorrow. toodles.
Big surprise, I rode in...
It's raining enough to make people drive like idiots and float all the oil... The roads were pretty sketchy this morning... I can't blame anyone for not riding in.
I rode the GS in today ... it's raining here too... still.
Cheers,
J
Twas a nice ride in this morning around 5:30.
The ride home was nasty traffic typical of Tampa.
Still sucks less than driving.
:thumb:
When i pulled into work this morning and got off my bike, an older guy I work with was parking his late 80's model BMW GS, asked me if I knew it was ride to work day :thumb:

So you have those types of drivers over there too
Yeah, and they drive on the wrong side of the road. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v11/redshift/Ride.gif)

  Yeah thats the bit that'd scare me the most.
Well my ride went well yesterday :thumb: I have to be in the office before traffic starts to pick too much in the morning. Unfortunately the whole day sucked since by the time I was able to leave work I could have thrown up a stand up wheelie and ridden it all the way home. Of course I am not that talented so I didn't.
Apparently someone took the oppurtunity to crash a bike very similiar to mine just a few miles down the highway from my office. My boss and 3 of the ladies in our office all called me independant of one another to see if I answered the phone when they were out on lunch.
Found this ride to work day pic submitted to MCN

Belong to anyone here?
^^ :dunno_white:

I don't know what it is... It rains ALL THE TIME here... So, you'd think people would know how to drive in the rain... NO! :icon_rolleyes:
klarapavkova.JPG is the image name, and look at that licence plate... Seems foreign!? Yeah, inspector Groff22 here...
Yeah, MCN is European (British?), so I'm sure it's someone from that side of the pond
