Hey People,
I have a question about front springs. I have stock and I bottom out very easily. I've read quite a bit about going to progressive springs and have visited the websites that are reccommended on this site but they're not too informative. Just a list of prices really. My question is which ones to get. Do I have to specify a particular length? Or is it, go with the higher priced ones bc they'll be better. I really want to do this so any help will be, well....helpful :) and appreciated.

chapparl has 3 peices left at $47. The part number is 377-1128. The progressive shock # is 1128.
I am yet to install it and i am going to do it the pablo way.
There's only one model of Progressive brand spring that fits the GS, if you can't get it from Chapparl Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse and Parts 411 both carry them for around $60. Another option is to get the RaceTech fixed rate springs. To find out what would work best from them it's easiest to call them up and they will quiz you on the bike, your riding, and your weight to find out exactly what you need. They are a bit more expensive though. For street riding the Progressives work very well.
I agree with snowman, the progressives do make a world of difference just by them selves. :thumb:
Check out my site for a simple install method and a source for the progressive springs. Don't be confused by "The part number is 377-1128. The progressive shock # is 1128". 377-1128 part number is Chapparral number, 1128 is Progressive Suspension's own part number, both are same thing and $47 is best deal around-$60 is next best.
Race tech are around $100.
You can install the springs in 20 minutes by my "lazy person" way and it will be the best $47/$60 you'll spend on the bike!
