Title: Torque Wrench
Post by: philward on July 24, 2007, 09:10:21 PM
I'm off to buy a torque wrench this arvo, but not sure what sort of ranges it needs to be capable of (I dont have a service manual yet )

Could someone give me a range of the typical torques that I will need when servicing the GS?

Many thanks

The highest torque setting I found in my manual was around 95 ft lbs, most were much less than that. So a small or mid range torque wrench would be fine.

This 3/8" drive Craftsman works for me for bikes:

Only $25 and guaranteed for life.  !/2 inch drive is too big for bikes.
