I have these VM round slide single dirt bike carb, waiting to go in my savage. Came off some poor 80's 2 stroke dirt bike.
Today rummaging at the junkyard, I find a float bowl in pristine condition ... and the bloody thing is made out of acrylic. Transparent. Like glass.
The dude says, he aint seen it since the 70's, and wont fit nothing but a dirt bike.
So I get home and I cut the 2 float slider rods off and perfect fit for the VM's.
Bloody hell is that cool or what. So I put my tie and die head band on, the bell bottom's I bought last year cos I was sure they was comming back and put this on my head like a lampshade and stood in my driveway.

Junkyard ... total trip back in time ... really really old sheite. Ask for anything made after 85 and he says ... dont have nothing that new.
However I am slapping a 85 KX500 front end and carbs off got knows what from 1975 on my savage ... so it works great for me.
But, I got tons of crap from before then, so I am good.
