i made it happen i have got a kazaki nija exhaust on my gs f , and heck its loud. and all i have done is slip the shell over the top of the standard one. and cut the cone and the bracket off the original.
can you post some sort of pictures?
I have GSXR exhauts on my bike and I think it looks sweeet. (http://s206.photobucket.com/albums/bb128/kmlkrk/?action-view¤t=Picture016verysmall.jpg)

hello ! I am going to the shop to install my r6 can. I will post some pictures when gone back !
I think pretty much anything looks better than those nasty big stockers that are on there... I'm diggin the steeper angle my Yosh has than the old one. 'Tis mush more gooder :thumb:
ill take some pics for you all. when i have chance
Here is my gs with a Yoshimura slip on from a 636 ninja. the pipe diameter of the 636 slip on was 2.25". Runs good at high rpm but kinda sucks at low rpms.

so is a rejetting necesary if i used a stock zx6r can or a gsxr can? can the pipes simply be welded to the stock manifold? i have the ability and means to weld it myself so cost would simply be purchasing the item.
now u got me all curious hahaha
cam
darn i wish i could see those in person. i'm sure the pictures do not do them justice
May be just me but those cans look too big for the GS.
They do look huge , good ,but huge , id rather have a exhaust made for it , so it is made for proformance ,over the size of it ,
The Nexxus claims to be years of Testing for best possable proformance * Thats what they say , saying that , its pretty big to , clearly not as big as the Exhausts Pictured here :thumb:

I think it is not necessary although strongly recommended. The airflow through those cans is better than through stock GS500 can then it may make your bike lean which isn't that good for your motor.
Besides that rejetting gives you more power and better throttle response which makes GS more fun to ride :icon_lol:
I can't agree with some of you who say those cans are too big for GS. Friend of mine who rides GSXR600 told me my bike looks waayyy better with GSXR can. In fact I like it better to!
But ya know... every one has own preferences :):)

If all you're after is looks, why not keep the lines proper ? Different angles from the rear plastics and the can makes it look odd. The V&H and others made specifically for the gs tend to keep the lines intact.
TL's look nice with duals. Cruisers look cool with one gigantic can. I always thought it was all about the lines. <shrug>
This is a gixxer can on mine

Nice cans (not often I can say that and not get slapped) Bubba, your bike looks ridiculously comfy...

Here I will strongly disagree!! I think that stock exhaust doesn't match the lines with fairings of the new F version. It looks to "flat" in my opinion.
I'm not tryin' to argue with you :) I'm just tryin' to express my feelings and preferences :icon_mrgreen:

Arguments are interesting and usually thought provoking. I have nothing against a good one myself. Personal offense usually means a point is lost or misunderstood. Yours is crystal clear. No huff matey. :)

After reading and seeing all of this i have a question, Do you just hack off youre old pipe where the silver meets the black, slip the new can on and weld mounts where ever they need to be? :dunno_white:
please post video on youtube so i can find out what they sound like.
What do you mean by where the silver meets the black.
Where the can actually meets the pipe.

what i done was new and a little stupid, but it works and sounds great.
1. i cut the cone of the standard exhaust,
2. took the baffel out, (so i could cut it down.)
3. cut the three stud end off of the Ninja exhaust at the weld,
4. i took the baffel out of the ninja exhaust,
5. took the shaZam! bit of shinny bit of tin off the standared exhaustand cut the bracket off,
6. i then replaced the standard baffel in the exhaust (already cut down)
7. i then slid the shell of the ninja exhaust over the top of the standerd, shortend can.
8. then drilled holes and rivetted it on.

In my case it wasn't that easy.
First I cut it off at the collector.
Then I cut of the muffler (where silver meets black :) ) So I had a piece of midpipe in hand
Then I made a flange suitable for four bolts exhaust
Then I changed the angle of the midpipe (rotated and welded it to the collector - rotating gave me appropriate clearance for brake lever)
Then welded flange to the midpipe
In the end I bolted on the new exhaust (If it gets damaged, scratched, dented or anything else I just bolt-on new one - no need to weld anything in the future)
Any bolt-on exhaust for 2005 GSXR600 is going to fit. (If I have money I'll buy Yoshi TRS)
